Warm minimal interior — the Aestilo philosophy

About Aēstilo

A westerner
shaped by Asia.

"Aestilo was born from a feeling of belonging — to a beauty that wasn't originally mine."

Born in Iran, raised in Malaysia, having lived in Turkey and now four years in Seoul — Sherrie has spent her life aesthetically in-between. She didn't grow up in East Asian culture. But she found herself belonging to its spatial logic: the restraint, the material honesty, the purposeful emptiness, the silence in function.

The more she looked, the more she recognised it. East Asian design doesn't decorate a room. It creates the conditions for a certain feeling. And that feeling — of being held, of space that exhales rather than performs — is what most modern interiors are missing entirely.

Aestilo is the answer to a problem many people feel but cannot name: my space looks fine, but it doesn't feel like me.

The Philosophy
"We don't compete with Pinterest.
We give you the clarity Pinterest can't."
01

Space is emotional, not decorative.

Your environment shapes how you feel, think, and understand yourself. That's not interior design. That's spatial intelligence.

02

Objects carry meaning, or they carry nothing.

Every object Aestilo curates is chosen for character — not trend, not aesthetics online. For how it lives in a room over time.

03

Belonging is not about origin.

You don't have to be from here to feel like you belong. Aestilo exists for people who found their aesthetic home in an unexpected culture.

04

Slower curation over faster consumption.

The antidote to algorithmic interiors is intention. Every concept Aestilo builds is a considered, personal, unreplicable narrative.

Sherrie

Founder & Curator · by/ aēstilo

Sherrie is not an interior stylist. She is an architect by training — which means she reads space differently. Not just how a room looks, but how it lives. How the light falls at 4pm. How a material ages. How emptiness can be designed.

Her path through Iran, Malaysia, Turkey, and Korea gave her an eye that doesn't belong to any single tradition — which is exactly why it can translate between them. Aestilo is what happened when that accumulated perspective found a form.

She works remotely, globally, and entirely on the conviction that your space should feel like you — not like the algorithm's best guess at you.

"Trained as an architect, Sherrie reads space differently — not just how it looks, but how it lives."

What Aestilo is.
What it isn't.

Aestilo is

A curatorial eye for your space.

Moodboards, concept direction, material guidance, and a curated selection of objects — all built around who you are becoming, not who you were.

Aestilo is not

An interior design firm.

No construction. No project management. No contractor coordination. Aestilo provides the vision, the direction, and the objects. You decide what to do with it.

Aestilo is for

People who feel aesthetically homeless.

You've saved a thousand pins. You've bought the "right" pieces. But the room still doesn't feel like you. That gap — between visual and emotional coherence — is what Aestilo solves.

"You don't have to be from here
to feel like you belong."

Every space starts with a conversation.
